Wiring

Postby jnreyno » Sat Nov 06, 2010 5:53 am

I want to share an idea for a hack for a better setup for adding/detatching the hilltopper battery.
I'm going to install Topeak Quicktrax rails and a compatible trunk bag (to store the lithium battery and charger)for quick transfer of the battery pack.

I want to modify the wiring..I'm going to leave the Hilltopper switch and motor connection in situ permanently, and hack together an apple magsafe type connector using magnets, wires and "sugru" (google it) to sit under the saddle, with the opposite end attached permanently to the battery wiring,(which I'd have coming out of the bag via a sugru surrounded hole to seal it) so it can be magnetically clipped on (imagine the convenience!). I could do some low level reverse engineering to see what wires go where, but if anyone had a schematic, I'd save myself the bother.

Anyone have a wiring shcematic?
