Sidewalker, Electrified Scooter!

Postby sidewalker » Fri Oct 16, 2009 5:32 pm

Hi Mike,

OK, so I got my kit an I installed in on the 26" push scooter...(the CITY Sidewalker www.sidewalkerusa.com)
It's unbelievable...I went out aroud the block, you just can't imagine the envy looks I am getting.
I will be getting in touch about what our next step should be later.

My question now is, the battery arrived charged, but how much , I can't tell. Should I charge it immediately, or should I scoot around, let it run low and then charge it? Please advise
thanks
Gideon

Hi Gideon,

Again, I really like these scooter designs you're selling, and I have to say adding an electric wheel to them is an awesome idea! I moved your post here and created a new topic just for the concept of electrifying the Sidewalker because it's such a cool concept I think it needs its own thread.

Do you have any pictures of the electric scooter? It would be great if you want to post them here. The more people that know about your products, the better.

Battery charging: There won't be a problem if you use the battery directly or charge it all the way up first. When charging, be sure the lighted battery switch is turned ON. The charger will light up red, then slowly flash red/green when the battery is about 80%, and then go steady green when the battery is 100%. You don't need to drain the battery before charging. In fact it's better if you just go ahead and charge any time you get the chance. When at 100% we recommend that you unplug everything and turn everything off, but if you leave the charger plugged in for a long time (over night) it will not over charge the battery because of the auto-shutoff function that kicks in when the battery is full.
