Pushing the limits.

Postby artandshirley » Fri Apr 08, 2011 12:16 pm

Hello all! I just want to tell everyone about my experience with the hill topper kit so far. I've only had mine for two weeks, but so far, it's been great! To be honest, I am amazed that it can handle the amount of weight that I am forcing it to pull. I have a very basic bike that I bought for $100 from Target. Then there's the weight of my child carriage, and my two kids (who each weigh 40 pounds), and, ofcourse, me. I weigh 340 pounds. Because of my back and knee problems, I'm simply not really able to pedal without terrible pain. That's why I bought the basic hill topper kit in the first place. I didn't know if it work without me pedaling, especially considering the huge strain I must be putting on it. But, it DOES work! We don't have any hills where we live, but we do have rough, bumpy streets. The crackly gravel roads here are just terrible! I have been riding the bike about two miles a day, to get my kids from school. So far, it hasn't died on me yet. I just charge it back to full power at the end of every ride. I just love my hill topper! If things keep going as well as they are now, I'm planning on upgrading to the lithium battery soon.
