How should we make future generations of our kit better?

New EU rules Draft at the moment

Postby etves » Fri Jul 01, 2011 3:21 am

Hi
There is some discussion in Europe to adopt the definition of a electrically power assisted cycle (EPAC)

As a cycle, equipped with pedals and an auxiliary electric motor, which cannot be propelled exclusively by means
of this auxiliary electric motor

This is not currently the law but looks as it might become
While no one could seriously argue that the hill topper can propel a bike exclusively by means of this auxiliary electric motor i fear it may mean that the hill topper technically would not fit into the definition of a epac
Anyone got any simple ideas for a quick fix to make the hill topper fit the definition

The rules EPAC have been use for long time, as far as I know begin from July of 2010. last year Turkey have been follow it. But any way, we can do as the EPAC required, we can produce e bikes and conversion kits to meet the rules. Our website is www.goldenwaytech.com.
