Just want to share a hack I used on my hilltopper battery to make it easier to handle on the commute. I first got a plasterers plastic "Hawk", knocked the handle off it, stuck a large sheet of self adhesive velcro hooks on it, drilled holes along the side of the assembly and used zip ties to clamp it to my rear carrier, it looks like this:

Then, I got the velcro self adhesive loops and tied them in place with the native straps on the battery pack, and just one more long (or two short zio ties in series) zip tie - (I glued this sheet in place before, and had to remove it once- thereby discovering that there's no need for it to be glued, the native straps and single zip tie hold it just fine).

I added a shoulder strap off an old bag, which holds onto the battery via some zip ties. Clamped a small piece of velcro loops onto the strap, so it can be held onto the velcro 'shoe' when the battery is mounted.
Voila!:

I've used it for over 1700 miles and it's never fallen off, in fact, it sticks on pretty hard, way sturdier than the native straps. It's really convenient for getting the hilltopper battery on/off quickly, (pretty much instant- rather than all that fumbling with straps) and the strap makes it easier to carry in to work.
