Front motor Compatible with 15QR fork?

Postby Justin Ayer » Wed Jan 11, 2012 11:40 am

I have a Niner mountain bike with a Fox 15 QR fork (a through-axle system for increased rigidity on mountain bikes). Explained in detail here for those not familiar:

I would like to install a front hub disc brake compatible motor on my mountain bike for commuting use when I'm not mountain biking.
I understand that most front wheel hub motors are designed to fit within forks that meet the open dropout 9mm quick release standard.
Is it possible to mount a hub motor to this fork?
I would really prefer a front hub motor to a rear motor for convenience value but i could also go with a rear motor if I had to.

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately any hub motor, including the Hill Topper won't work with this fork type to my knowledge. The hub motor has an integrated axle that cannot be removed. You could use a standard bicycle fork with our kit, but not this one. Thanks.
