When I first set up my hill-topper and pushed the button nothing happened. To make a long story short I diagnosed the problem to the on off switch turning off when zipped into my saddle bag which was mounted to the frame above rear wheel. It was fine until it was zipped in or I hit a bump. I was able to fix the problem with a safety light switch cover from Home Depot and some Velcro which I used to mount it on the battery bag over the switch so that even though the switch was covered you could slip you finger through the opening in the side of the cover and turn the switch on or off. Problem solved. I have not had any more problems with the battery shutting down .
